My toy poodle vomits this morning, its more of liquid and yellowish in color. what can be the cause of this?

should i be worried? she's 1 year and 2 months old and this is the first time that it happened to her. thanks for all your responses. My toy poodle vomits this morning, its more of liquid and yellowish in color. what can be the cause of this?
could be upset stomach, sour stomach, you have to watch her water intake, has she drank, has she ate, whats her demenor like, is she less playful or just laying around doing nothing? if she has not drank water, go straight to vet, if shes drinking and playing and acting normal, i would just watch her closely and, feed her white rice and chicken if shes hungry, no treats, just monitor, you know ur dog,My toy poodle vomits this morning, its more of liquid and yellowish in color. what can be the cause of this?
Most likely, nothing to worry about. Let me guess - just before she threw up, she drank a lot of water? Even if that didn't happen, it's not likely a problem. Some dogs vomit a LOT -- our older Brittany has always vomited a lot, usually just yellowish stuff, and usually after she's drunk too much water too quickly -- and you get used to it.

On the other hand, if you start to see physical changes -- like if she's getting a lot thinner or if she vomits after every meal, or every time she goes on a walk -- then, record the incidences when she vomits, and talk about that with your vet.

Best wishes %26amp; good luck!
The yellowish liquid is usually bile because the stomach is empty so it has nothing to throw up other than the bile in the stomach. Just watch her and make sure she is eating and drinking ok. Lots of dogs vomit occaisionally and it's nothing. Too much vomiting and diarrhea on the other hand is serious.
Our dogs tend to so this once in a great while too. I will usually crush a Tums and put it into their food. I still leave out food and water and let them come and go as they please. It is hard to know what causes this but it usually only lasts a day or two. If it goes on longer or the poop is runny contact your vet. Good luck.
He was thirsty and hungry! I have a toy poodle as well and, it's basically like cotton mouth. His mouth is dry and an empty stomach equals a yellowish color vomit (bile from her stomach). Make sure your dog all the water she can drink. Leave her a bowl before you go to bed.
Yellow indicates liver failure. This might be an emergency situation. Get to your vet immediately.

There have been several food recalls recently where dogs died within days of eating tainted commercial foods. One example was the Menu Foods recall. Please don't delay. Only a vet can diagnose this one.
Years ago I had a Shih Tzu that used to do this. At the time ( I didn't know any better) I was feeding Iams, but started researching dog foods and realized what crap it is, and switched to Innova. The vomiting stopped completely.

What are you feeding?
My dogs do this often, I'm sure it amuses them. It is normally from eating grass. They munch on it like goats.

If your dog does not eat grass I would take her to a vet.
maybe its dehydration, .

most dogs eat grass when theyre stomach hurts, but if she doesnt do it on her own then cut some grass %26amp; put it in the blender with water %26amp; give it to her. :0

hope she feels better.
