When in doubt, always read the directions!! And yes, the directions do say how much to mix. They have to. And no, it's properly called ';20 volume peroxide';, not the other way round.

It all depends on what brand it is. If it came off the drugstore shelf, it probably says to mix the one bottle with the other. If you have another brand, you will often mix equal parts; 1:1 -- and you can do it by teaspoon, or ounce. It all depends on how much you need.

Some of the better quality brands require double peroxide; 1:2. If you mix the wrong amount, it won't work as well. Please read the directions!!

If you have long hair, it's best that you mix enough for the root area (and I'd say 1.5 ounces is enough, with the appropriate amount of peroxide) and then mix up more for the ends, when it comes time to do them. You of course know that you don't do it from roots to ends all at once!!? (Oh, I see disaster here.) You don't say what your natural colour is... it DOES make a difference!

Really, this is not as simple as you think. I don't want to take responsibility for this one!! You really need to have someone with some experience at least do this. Please have the colour done by a professional hair colourist to avoid disappointment.I have a vol.20 developer(8 oz.) and level 7 medium blonde liquid color(2 oz)...how much should i mix?
usually its the same ratio. 2oz color 2oz developer.. you need more hair dye if you have alot of hair. if you have dark hair you need a higher volume developer to lift the color out, otherwise your hair will turn oran ge
yeah what she said
