Does the color of a cup affect the temperature of the liquid inside if it is heated(a lamp)?

im doing an experiment and i want to see if i have 2 cups (or mugs), one dark colored and one light, will a light affect the temperature of the liquid inside the mug or cup? if you got the answer from a website please give me the URLDoes the color of a cup affect the temperature of the liquid inside if it is heated(a lamp)?
Black things radiate (and absorb) heat most efficiently. So if you want something hot to conserve heat, you make it white or shiny. if you want something to radiate, you make it black.

So the black cup will absorb heat from the heat lamp more efficiently. But I suspect you won't see a big difference.Does the color of a cup affect the temperature of the liquid inside if it is heated(a lamp)?
yes it would but not really enough to make a very noticeable difference
