I saw that the food coloring moved and swirled after detergent was put in, but I don't know how this is explained chemically.How does liquid detergent affect food coloring in water? How is this explained chemically?
The detergent molecules latch onto the dye (colouring's ) molecules, the lowered surface tension and water movement causes the motion.
